We all know that the next (or new) iPhone is just around the corner. I keep wondering how Apple's iPhone lineup would work. My guess is:
- The New iPhone ($199 or $299 + contract);
- iPhone 4S ($99 or equivalent + contract);
- iPhone 4 (free with contract), and;
- iPhone 3GS.
Why keep the iPhone 3GS around? Easy. Apple would now have a decent (if not the best) prepaid mobile device in the market. Or a low cost device for new markets...
That's what I would do to prevent the Umbrella Pricing Effect and a good reason to still support the 3GS in iOS6.
